PASS-CR scholar, Mr Ronil Prasad graduates with MSc in Agriculture from University of the South Pacific!

PASS-CR Scholar Ronil Prasad graduated with a Masters in Agriculture from University of the South Pacific recognising his research in the Livestock sector in the Pacific. His thesis titled Inventory of local feed resources for livestock feeding in Fiji: availability, chemical composition and value chain perspectives under the supervision of Ass Prof Siaka Diarra, USP Samoa and Dr Frances Cowley, University of New England will make a valuable contribution to livestock research in the region. Ronil's thesis is closely aligned to the ACIAR Livestock project LS/2017/033 Improving small ruminant production and supply in Fiji and Samoa also known as the Pasifika Sheep and Goat Improvement Project.

This ACIAR project aims to improve the livelihoods of smallholder and semi-commercial sheep and goat producers in Fiji and Samoa by improving on-farm production efficiency.

Ronil is the Senior Research Officer - livestock at the Ministry of Agriculture and Waterways in Fiji and despite his workload still finds time to support his fellow PASS-CR scholars, sharing his knowledge and strategies on navigating the HDR journey.
